For more than 20 years, I have been a dedicated ski instructor. In 2022, a new passion ignited within me: the world of shooting. My journey began at my village shooting club, where I embraced the challenge of 300-meter rifle marksmanship using the standard Swiss military rifle, the Fass 90.
Around the same time, I acquired my first pistol, completely new to its operation. Everything changed after an experience at a local indoor shooting range. My instructor's infectious enthusiasm for the sport ignited a spark within me. I became eager to share that same passion and empower others to discover the joys of responsible gun ownership.
My training journey began indoors, honing my skills and knowledge. Then, I stumbled upon IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) – a dynamic shooting discipline that captivated me.
Determined to delve deeper, I trained with a top instructor for hours.
This newfound knowledge propelled me to join the Swiss IDPA league, eager to put my training to the test. While my first competitions placed me near the bottom of the rankings, the experience was exhilarating. The camaraderie, the focus required, and the sheer thrill of competition – it all fueled my passion even further.
I may never be the number one, but my true calling lies in sharing this knowledge and fostering a safe and enjoyable shooting experience for others.
